Configuring reports

You can either configure a new report or select an existing report from My Reports and modify it.

  1. Go to the Reports tab and make sure that you are viewing the My Reports screen (not the old version of reports).

  2. To configure a new report, click Create Report and select the type of report you want to configure, depending on which reports you have access to. The Configure Report wizard opens.

    To modify an existing report to show different data, navigate to the report and click the pencil under Actions.

  3. Select an interval for the report (the default is Last Seven Days). Click the list and select either a relative date range (such as Month to Date) or Custom. If you select Custom, use the calendar tool to select start and end dates for the report.

  4. Click Next.
  5. Select the attributes you want to see in the report to describe the data returned by the report. For example, if you are configuring a report to see line itemThe primary unit of execution for an order, which represents a specific inventory purchase and the required conditions for ad delivery. metrics, select which descriptive information about line items you want to see as columns in the report.

  6. Click Next.
  7. Select the metrics you want to see in the report. Use the link at the top of the screen to learn more about the available metrics if needed.

  8. Click Next.
  9. (Optional) Set filters to define how much data is captured. For example, limit the report to certain inventoryAd space available on a website or app. The basic unit of inventory for OpenX is an ad unit. or certain orders.

    Keep in mind that data will be returned only if it matches all of the filters you select. If you select too many filters in one report, the report may return little or no data. For example, make sure not to select a publisherAn account type that represents a business with ad space to sell. and siteAn OpenX component that represents top-level domains or sub-domains and is used to organize ad units. Sites enable you to target and report on inventory performance. combination where the site is not one of that publisher's sites. Since such inventory does not exist, the report will have no data.

    Note: The search field is case-sensitive. If you are having trouble finding something, check the capitalization of your search term.

  10. Click Run Report to see the report results, or click Save to immediately save in My Reports as an XLSX, CSV, or PDF file. The report may take up to a few minutes to run and populate the requested data, depending on the level of metrics and filters you have chosen.

    If you click Run Report, you can edit the report and click Save:

    • Click the name of any column to sort in an ascending or descending order.
    • Click Edit to change the Date range, Attributes, Metrics, or Filters. Follow the prompts to run the report again.

    Saved changes will apply when you run the report again.
