Programmatic Direct deals enable you to contract directly with leading publishers for access to high-quality inventoryAd space available on a website or app. The basic unit of inventory for OpenX is an ad unit.. OpenX supports the following types of deals:
Preferred deal: A pre-negotiated arrangement between a publisherAn account type that represents a business with ad space to sell. and a demand partnerA company which purchases ad inventory on OpenX Ad Exchange. to purchase inventory at a fixed price.
Private auction: An arrangement between a publisher and one or more demand partners to sell inventory to the highest bidder above a set floorThe minimum price a publisher is willing to accept for a given impression. price.
Real-time Guaranteed: An arrangement that enables a demand partner to secure a volume guarantee by forecasting their audience and negotiating a fixed CPMCost per mille, a pricing method which calculates cost based on the number of impressions (per 1000). with the publisher.
Bid requests include the BidRequest.imp.pmp.deals object when the impressionA single display of an ad on a web page, mobile app, or other delivery medium. Getting started with Programmatic Direct
If you are already integrated with OpenX via OpenRTB for real-time bidding, but are not yet receiving deal opportunities in requests, contact your Platform Development Manager to enable Programmatic Direct access for your account.
