Understanding your availability forecast

On the upper right is a revenue forecast, if you entered a pricing rate:

  • Total revenue impact. This is the net projected revenue impact from the forecasted line item after subtracting any calculated impact to existing line items.

  • Revenue from forecast. This is the total gross revenue forecasted for the line item.

  • Revenue lost from competing line items. This is the revenue that would otherwise be made by existing line items.

Impacted line items

These are the line items that compete with your proposed line item. For example, line items of equal or lesser priorityIndicates which deal or line item should take precedence in the case that multiple deals or line items are eligible to serve for a given ad request. than the current line item may under-deliver if you book the proposed line item. What does the forecasting tool analyze to predict availability

The forecasting tool considers booked line items, line items already delivered, and various delivery priorities for guaranteed line items to predict available impressions.

  • Existing line items are considered by the forecasting tool if they have flight dates that overlap with the forecasted line item, the same buying model, and the same targeting.

    If a line item has no end date, but the start date overlaps with the forecasted flight dates, it is analyzed as if it had an end date one year from the date of the forecast.

  • You do not need to already have added ads or creatives for a line item to affect forecasting.

  • A line item is considered by the forecasting tool if the status is either Pending or Active. Expired line items will not affect the forecast.

For accurate forecasting, create line items once you know the flight dates, buying model, and targeting, so that they will be considered in the forecast.
