Viewing historical data

View your inventoryAd space available on a website or app. The basic unit of inventory for OpenX is an ad unit.'s historical data including impressions, seasonality, and accuracy. By default, historical data is displayed for one year in the past. You can focus your view on a particular time frame within that year.

To view historical data:

  1. On the Analysis subtab, choose your inventory and click Show Chart. Then click History in the graph.

    By default, this graph overlays three plots for a year in the past, which you can click to toggle on and off as necessary. This way, you can compare actual impressions with forecasted impressionsThe number of impressions that have been booked to deliver for a campaign..

    • Impressions (blue). Indicates the actual number of impressions for the selected inventory.

    • Week 1 Forecast (orange). Indicates the forecasted number of impressions for that inventory one week prior.

    • Week 4 Forecast (green). Indicates the forecasted number of impressions for that inventory four weeks prior.

    • Seasonality (yellow). Indicates the traffic patterns and trends for the selected inventory.

  2. To focus your view on the dates you're interested in, use the date picker at the bottom of the screen. Select a preset date range in the list, or set specific dates.

    This updates the graph to display the plot for those dates only. (You can drag the control bars as needed to reduce or expand the date range.)

  3. Make adjustments to your selections and view the data again (click Show Chart), as needed.
