GDPR integration support for publishers

With the enactment of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you may need to take certain actions to become compliant, such as modifying your integration method for connecting to the OpenX Ad Exchange and implementing a Consent Management Provider (CMP) framework.

Integrations that require changes

If you connect to Ad Exchange using one of the following methods, you must upgrade your integration to comply with GDPR:

Note: OpenX supports the IAB consent framework.

Integrations that do not require changes

If you use one of the following integration methods, you do not need to modify it for GDPR compliance:

Integrations that are not supported

It is not possible to pass GDPR consent signals in MoPub integrations:

  • Bidder for Apps
  • DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP) Mobile JavaScript tags
  • MoPub JavaScript tags

CMP options

A CMP collects and stores information from consenting users on behalf of a publisherAn account type that represents a business with ad space to sell. and passes that information to ad exchanges and demand partners. When configuring a CMP implementation, make sure to include OpenX as a vendor. Options for OpenX-supported CMPs include:
