About History

History is an easy-to-read list that provides information regarding:

  • Changes to objects

  • Who made changes

  • When changes were made

Note: If you don't have permission to edit an object, History will not be available.

To view History:

  1. From any of the objects listed below, click Edit.

  2. In the sidebar, click History.

  3. To view additional History events, scroll down.

Objects with History

History is available for nearly all objects from the beginning of 2016.

The following is a list of all objects with History across all OpenX products.

Types of History events

History automatically updates after all History events. OpenX provides the following three types of History events.

Event Triggered by
Object creation Generated when you create an object. No "Was" field is displayed.
User generated change Generated when you make changes to an object, like when you change targeting criteriaThe rules that define how a creative should be targeted for delivery to viewers. There are several types of targeting criteria: audience targeting, custom targeting, geographic targeting, inventory and content targeting, screen type (delivery media) targeting, and technology and devices targeting..
System generated change Generated by system events like when a line itemThe primary unit of execution for an OpenX order, which represents a specific inventory purchase and the required conditions for ad delivery. expires after the defined flight end date. No user name is displayed.
