Supplemental Ad Quality Filters

OpenX Private Marketplaces respect Exchange Ad QualitySettings that control the types of ads that can display on your inventory. filters, but you can set up a deal to allow ads that would normally be blocked by using Supplemental Ad Quality Filters .

Adding Supplemental Ad Quality Filters:

  1. From the Participants section of the Create Deal screen, click the toggle to enable Supplemental Ad Quality Filters. The Supplemental Ad Quality Filters screen appears.

  2. Select the filters that you want to add to this deal:

    Allow these. Permits industries selected from a list

    Allow all. Permits all industries

    BrandsA name that represents the product or service being advertised, such as Tide. Allow these. Permits brands selected from a list

    Allow all. Permits all brands

    Unbranded Bids (RTBReal-time bidding, auctioning online inventory within an ad exchange. Buyers bid for the impression based on the value of the user, whereas the seller sets pricing floors and awards the impression to the highest bidder. The auction process takes place in milliseconds, which is why the process is referred to as “real-time.”)

    Toggle to allow or block creatives when a brand cannot be determined. The default is Block.

    Block. Blocks creatives when a brand cannot be determined.     Allow. Allows creatives even though a brand cannot be determined. Unbranded RTB bids are bids which pass a domain that OpenX has not mapped to a brand. This feature decreases unnecessary revenue blocking, but may result in creatives from unwanted brands serving. Note that OpenX will continue to scan the creativeThe media asset associated with an ad, such as an image or video file. for malware and technical compliance.

    Content Attributes

    Permits ads featuring creatives that contain specified attributes to serve to the inventoryAd space available on a website or app. The basic unit of inventory for OpenX is an ad unit..

    Allow these. Permits content attributes selected from a list, for example, Alcohol, Downloads, Gambling.

    Allow all. Permits all content attributes

    Creative Types

    Permits creatives of specified formats to serve to the inventory.

    Allow these. Permits creative types selected from a list, for example, Flash, Rotating Creative, Text.

    Allow all. Permits all creative types

    Creative Languages

    Permits ads with specified languages to serve to the inventory.

    Allow these. Permits creative languages selected from a list

    Allow all. Permits all creative languages

  3. Click Apply.

    Important: Your Supplemental Ad Quality Filters will not be saved until you save the deal.
