Audience reports

The following audience segmentA group of users with similar traits or characteristics. reports are available to users who have access for managing inventoryAd space available on a website or app. The basic unit of inventory for OpenX is an ad unit.:

Audience Segment by Account

This audience segment report lets you review audience segment volume and performance across your entire inventory. You can report on both OpenX audience segments and third-party DMP audience segments. This can be useful in helping you better understand how audiences hit your inventory so you can know which audiences to market to direct advertisers and PMPPrivate marketplace, the packaging, offering, and selling of high quality inventory to a limited set of buyers. demand partners. With this information, you can:

  • view how your users fall into defined audience segments at the account level since each account may represent different publishers that are marketed individually to demand partners
  • decide which audience segments by account to potentially market to advertisers and/or demand partners

The tables below list the attributes and metrics for this report.

Attributes

Attribute Description
Date The date range for the report.
Publisher Name

The name of the Publisher.

Publisher ID The ID associated with the Publisher.
Segment Name The name for the audience segment.
Segment ID The unique OpenX or DMP ID for the audience segment.

Metrics

Metric Description
Daily Unique UsersA site's total number of users or visitors over a certain length of time. Accuracy depends on each user logging in with a unique cookie to access the site, such as a different browser. The total number of daily unique users in the segment that generated ad requests.
Ad Requests

The total number of ad requests.

Total Impressions The total ad views delivered.
Paid Impressions The total number of audience-targeted impressions delivered, excluding PSA, house, and companion ad.
Targeted Impressions The number of targeted impressions delivered.
Unique Users Reached

The number of different users that viewed audience-targeted impressions.

Average Frequency The average number of impressions per unique users reached.
Revenue Revenue from Direct Campaigns and Programmatic Direct Deals that included users in Audience Segments, regardless of audience targetingTargeting of specific audience segments, such as an age demographic. Audience segments can be defined in OpenX or in an external data management platform (DMP).. Targeting is not available for open Exchange.
Targeted Revenue Targeted revenue based on Direct Campaigns and Programmatic Direct Deals with audience targeting.

CPMCost per mille, a pricing method which calculates cost based on the number of impressions (per 1000).

Revenue per thousand impressions.

Targeted CPM

Revenue per thousand targeted impressions.

Audience Segment by Site

This report lets you review audience segment volume and performance by publisherAn account type that represents a business with ad space to sell. siteAn OpenX component that represents top-level domains or sub-domains and is used to organize ad units. Sites enable you to target and report on inventory performance. so you can packageA bundle of targeting criteria for similar inventory segments which you can offer at a predetermined price (typically to facilitate regular sales efforts) and automatically create line items from in OpenX. audience buys for direct campaigns and PMP demand partners. You can report on both OpenX and third-party DMP audience segments.

Note: : Requests, Impressions, and Revenue may be double-counted because users may belong to multiple segments.
