Setting a revenue sharing model

You can define a revenue modelThe revenue relationship or deal type established between an ad network and the publishers that they directly manage. for:

Use the following instructions to set up revenue sharingAn OpenX Ad Server feature that allows ad networks to manage and track revenue splits with the publishers they manage. at the account level. You can use the same approach to set up revenue sharing for sites and ad units.

To specify a revenue model:

  1. Open the create or edit screen for the account, site, or ad unitIn OpenX, the smallest inventory component that represents the space on a site where ads display. for which you want to specify a revenue model.

  2. Select one of the following Revenue Model options.

    • Publisher Earns a Percentage of Revenue. If you select this option, you must also type in the percentage of revenue to credit the publisher, for example, 85 (the default is 100%).

    • Publisher Earns a Percentage of Revenue With a Minimum CPM Guarantee. If you select this option, you must:

      • Type in the percentage of revenue to credit the publisher; for example, 85 (the default is 100%).

      • Type in the guaranteed CPM for this publisher; for example, $1.50.

      As stated in the preceding examples, OpenX Ad Server credits the publisher with the specific percentage, or the minimum CPM. A final adjustment is made to the publisher's revenue at the end of the day to ensure that the minimum CPM is respected for that day.

    • Publisher Earns a Fixed CPM. Type in the guaranteed CPM for this publisher; for example, $1.50. The publisher receives this fixed CPM.

    • Publisher Earns a Fixed CPM With 100% Fill. Type in the guaranteed CPM for this publisher; for example, $1.50. The publisher receives this fixed CPM.

  3. Save the account, site, or ad unit.
